1. Mount Royal Park was designed by the same person behind Central Park in New York. Landscape architect and public administrator Frederick Law Olmsted was the man who conceptualized the city's widest greenspace that people enjoy even to this day.

3. For Peter Triassi, Montreal is a melting pot of diverse cultures. While people of different ethnicities consider the big city their home, Montreal is the second-largest French-speaking city in the world after Paris, France.

4. Cirque du Soleil, the world's largest contemporary circus producer, first started in Montreal in 1984. The company then went on to receive recognition globally for its world-class productions.

5. Montreal is a UNESCO City of Design and a member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network since 2006. The organization acknowledges the city's potential as a center for arts and design to enhance the people's quality of life. The city is home to various museums and art centers that aims to enrich people's love and understanding of different arts.
