Kids in Montreal: Six family-friendly activities to do

Montreal belongs to the list of the most beautiful cities to explore. The city is not exclusive to lone travelers or couples on a honeymoon. In fact, Montreal boasts of activities families can enjoy while they visit. Montreal native Peter Triassi shares on this post a few them.

Families who are up for an adventure can zip and climb above the Old Port, perfect for getting a bird’s eye view of the city. The whole family can take a ride on the MTL Zipline and head to the Voiles en Voiles amusement park for a fun-filled day. Visit Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium to open up a child’s mind to the wonders of astronomy and the solar system. Seeing the stars will leave the kids (and adults) awestruck!

Head to Atrium Le 1000 to experience the heated indoor ice rink. Both a treat for parents and kids, the rink has music booming and technicolor lights beaming while you skate. Play mini-golf at Putting Edge Centre-Ville and be filled with astonishment by the vivid colors of its environment. Putting Edge is a total party for the senses with its glow-in-the-dark take on mini-golf, complete with rainforests, Aztec jungle, and medieval times surroundings spread out the 18-hole course.

Be sure to visit the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts for hands-on art activities perfect for kids to get creative. Swim in Aquadome for a taste of summer. The water sports complex has a toddler pool, mushroom spray fountain, and slides. Water toys and family changing rooms are available, too, mentions Peter Triassi.
